IPhone as a remote?

Just read about an iphone app called 'signal' that can control windows media player...as Etouch uses WMP as it's engine, would this make it possible to control 'player' elements, eg rejecting songs, changing volume, etc?

I wouldn't have thought it would work, it may but i would have thought it wouldn't. if it's a free app it's worth having a try.

No that won't work, you would need a remote that can map keystrokes and in E-Touch Options map each keystroke to function in the jukebox.

Yeah this is the only way i know of doing it that will work 100%. Wonder if there are any smartphone apps that let you send keystrokes for a remote type operation?

I'm using a program called 'VectIR', it uses wifi, bluetooth and Infrared! All you need to do is install the program on the PC with juke running, build a remote profile (the buttons to map), then map the buttons to keystrokes. Mine uses wifi... Software has built in profiles for Winamp, WMP, Itunes, Windows Media Center and Xbox Media Center...It supports most touch screen phones so almost anyone can have a remote! It can also do 'remote desktop' and uses windows commands to shutdown or power off atx...how do I add an image to a post? i'd love to show you my remote...

I found this awhile back http://www.pcremotecontrol.com/software/pcrcsoft.htm but I can't get it to work with E-Touch. I can get the keypresses to show in a Command Prompt, but the keypresses do not do anything for E-Touch, although I can use the physical keyboard and control E-Touch, so for some reason the program does not send E-Touch the commands. If someone wants to mess with it, maybe you will have better luck. If you can get it working, a web interface for E-Touch would be possible.
