What does the buttons settings box do in the skin tool everytime i tick any of the boxes i get a run time error 75 path/file access error.

I think you are missing button images when you get this message, I use a working skin image folder and tag all the buttons for copying, I then paste them to my new skin image directory and when the system warns of duplicate i disallow those overwrites. That way only the missing buttons get copied. You should be able to open the new skin with the skintool after that. You will have to open freebox and switch to the new skin then colse freebox then start the skintool as the skintool will edit the last skin opened with Freebox.

Also check that all the background images listed in the skin.ini are valid, you may also have to delete the skin.ini file but try the first option before that.

Thanks at least now i know whats causing the errors.
