Version 4 question

Just a question. Does version 4 have a time limit on it?

I was testing it, and left it running all night on random to see how well it runs over extended periods of time, and it seems to crash, or shut down after a time.  Not sure how long,  just know that I came back to the computer, the app was shut down, and my taskbar was gone. It restarted just fine, I tried again, and later, the app was shut down again, and the taskbar was gone again.

can you check your error log, could be a bad file. I have ran a copy of 4.0.0.2 for 2-3 days on random play with no issues.

The only error.log I can find is in the Freebox 4 folder, and it seems to pertain to the config program.

I ran the config, and all was fine, but the very first Album showed no author, so I updated it with config. Then it gave me errors, but finished saying all was fine. Here is the summary:

when you test this "long run" are you allowing random play? or a play list, or is it just sitting.

can you identify if a screensaver / jukebox attract mode is part of the issue

what about computer APCI power settings?

you will want to shut off any s.s. APCI

can you use a small amount of media your are 100% sure is clean and run it with that media set?

Are you running the demo version? if you are a donating member you should have access to V4 without any limitations.
