Coffee if you find this tutorial addecuate please rmove the original post so only the tutorial remains
Done. Does your visualizations work now?
Sorry, it's the first topic, I can't remove it otherwise it will remove the whole thread. Barry is the only one who can remove it.
It works perfectly for secondary monitor.
In my current jukebox however I only have one screen, if I remember correctly there was a way to have this visualization work on the primary within the NOW PLAYING window only ?
I am trying to figure that out as we speak, if you can give me some pointers I can add pertinent information to the guide
Thanks
Sorry, I am not sure if it is possible. I haven't tried it yet but I will look at it and let you know if I find something.
No, there was never a way to have this working in the now playing window. Sorry...
ok my bad
Hey Barcrest, can you remove rest of postings from this thread and leave only the tutorial ?
awsome awsome!!! it works perfectly now..my juke never looked better! you guys rock,,, and the tutorial was very easy to follow!
-one question tho, when i messed with it before, i remember the visuals would show the title and artist at the first 5 or so seconds of the song, but now it doesnt do that.. anyone know how that might work too, or where in winamp to tell it to do that?
Happy to be of service,
Hi Draginit
Check out "How to let Visualizations display song title manual" under "Freebox User Guides and FAQ".

This has never worked... Winamp doesn't know what is playing so there is no way to display this information when using it with freebox... Sorry.
what a bummer..i guess what i saw mustve been because it was playing directly thru winamp at the time............well atleast now im not having a blank screen to look at anymore whilst regular music is playing...very nice!!
You should post up some piccies of your juke dude, we lost the last lot when the old site went down.
Thanks Barry. Sorry about that Draginit.

-yea, ive been meaning to do that, but ive been trying to find someone to work on my website so i can post a link to build of the juke as well as how it is now..so i'll try and post a few up here shortly or i'll probably just create a link to a myspace page were even i could easily manage a photo album...
Hey I got the visualizations working on the 2nd monitor, but it doesn't look like the visualizations are responding to the music.
When the Viz starts, it says line input.
Is that right? Off to read the doc mentioned in earlier in the thread.
=J
yep, it just plays constant. i asked awhile back about the showing the album/artist feature like when you see the line input first off and its impossible to set up that way. i'll look for the thread.

Ok. that kind of sucks...

It does move to the music, you can test this yourself by playing songs in WMP and launching winamp with the linein selection. Check that you have set the recording settings of windows to be the stereo or mono mixer. In the future you will be able to use WMP on the second screen, that should solve any of these issues.
heres an interesting fact, but maybe its just mine. ??? but i could not get the tweaked plug-in to work on winamp5.5(current version) it would bring up a visual but just one and it stayed grey and boring. i had to revert back to 5.35 or older in order for it to work properly.
-basically winamp 5.5 bad, 5.35 or older good
Update:
Latest releases of winamp 5.5+ come with milkdrop_2.0. This works perfectly. Try it.
