I have a 19" glass fronted Phillips/ECO touch screen connected via USB 2.0; It's not a new one and was brought off Ebay a while back now; it uses the "General Touch" driver and I'm able to calibrate it without a problem and it works.

However after a bit of messing around and moving about of the touch screen inside it's original box; I may of inadvertently caused this "jumping" fault.

I've noticed the touch screen has a copper foil around the edge; I think this was initially earthed at some point; after doing some research I think it should be.. would this be caused the jumping issue?

The problem being now that the jumping of the cursor obviously effects normal operation and will pause tracks and cause numerous other problems within Windows/E-Touch...

Has anyone else come across this in the past; am I barking up the wrong tree?

Many thanks.  ::)

On my megatouch the overlay was held on with silver foil tape. I have never seen a microtouch screen held on in such a way. This started jumping so i removed the tape and replaced it with duct tape. It now seems to work fine, however this is a CRT with a 3M Microtouch i cannot say how others should be attached.
