New owner here. A few questions too.

Hi gang,

    I am a new owner of E-touch. I love it! This thing is EXACTLY what I have been looking for. I purchased a lifetime version, I loved it so much. I am a home user, not commercial.
    Now, it has taken me some time to figure this all out. I can't seem to find a manual (is there one?), so it's been a riddle for sure. I've had to figure out the whole tagging thing, then figure out that there is a Non-MP3 tagger for videos. I couldn't figure out why videos had no labels. Then I had to figure out how to get everything sounding the same levels.
   The next tough bit was figuring out how to get the second display. After much trial and error, I finally got it going.

    I have used the search feature on these forums a great deal to find most of my answers above. Without you guys here, I would be LOST (well, more lost.). Thank you all for your wisdom.

  Now on to some of my questions.

   The video on the second monitor seems to be slid over and down a bit, not centered properly. I have checked and double-checked the dual monitor properties to insure the tops are aligned correctly. Still have the problem. Is this standard behavior. If not, any ideas?

  Skins. I can only seem to get the default two skins that are included with V8 to work. Are there any other skins available, such as the lifetime red one, shown in the loading screen, to work with V8? I also have a widescreen display, so any widescreen compatible ones for V8 would be nice. I've had to settle for the FULL SCREEN stretched look of the 1024x768 version of Blue for now.
  I did try V7 to use some of the other skins, but on the lifetime red/black one, I kept having text of NEVER scrolled across some of the screens. I couldn't figure it out.

  Last question. Is there any way to either turnoff visuals, or choose different ones in winamp? With a second display, it seems visual is ALWAYS on. Ideas?

Are you running the main app in fullscreen mode?

You can download the skins from the lifetime skins section, there a few availble. As long as you have expanded the zip to the skins folder then it should show up. Make sure it has extracted correctly, you should just have a folder and in that a collextion of ini files, look how the default skins are set up... If you are using windows 7 then this might be why it's not picking them up, to remedy this make sure it's not installed to program files and you run it as admin.

Not sure what was going on there, maybe the skins were not complete.

The visuals are set from windows media player, set the vis you want in that and that's what E-Touch will use.

V7 skins will work but some stuff will be unskinned.

If you are running fullscren then it sounds like the monitors are not lined up in quite right in the display properties, what hapens if you move that monitor up or down slightly?

I've been messing with the skin tool to cleanup some of the v7 skins to look right in v8, but I cannot get the MORE BY ARTIST feature to show up / work properly.

For the off center video, I believe it's lined up correctly, as the Songfacts popup is perfectly placed/centered correctly at the bottom of the screen. Same with the "Song added to queue" popup on the 2nd screen. It's very weird. When I move the screen in properties, it doesnt seem to affect it at all. It stays the same in E-touch.
