Downloading the demo 8 version to see if i like this software or not. after messing around with all my music for over 8 hours i finally got music to load into software. that is where i saw that i did not have any album artwork. i have looked all over the program trying to figure out why it is not coming up. i ran all my music through media monkey and i know all the artwork is there. i just dont know how to get it switch over. any help would really be appreciated. thanks in advance from the new guy. if i can figure this out i will be purchasing full version this next weekend.

i have actually gone in and downloaded several of the album covers. i just dont see where to tell the program to look for the covers.  please help, i am starting to pull my hair out.

sorry this probably should have been in general discussion. please move if need to. thanks and apologies again.

You can set it load the either the first cover found or specify 2 filenames 1 for the smaller covers used on the album view page and the lager one used elsewhere. This is set under the appearance settings.

Well do you have it set to use first image found or are you specifying the filename? If you are specifying a filename does that file actually exist?

i have it set at whatever was downloaded with the program.  i know that there is artwork with the album because i ran all my music through media monkey and i placed them there when i tagged the music. i guess what i am asking is how do i add the artwork? is there somewhere on the forum that shows me how to add the artwork? that is the only problem i have with the software. i am still using the demo version, but have to tell you i love the ease of this program. will be buying the full version at the end of the week when i get paid.

The easiest way is to have 2 images in each album folder. A Large one (500x500) called cover.jpg and a smaller one (170x170) called coversmall.jpg. Then check in the app under appearance that you have those filename there. The smaller one isn't required you can just have it set to cover.jpg however the smaller one is used when paging the albums and it does make it much quicker.

Hope that clears things up a little for you.

that does somewhat clear things up for me. but when i looked in the file for the music, i see the music but i dont see the artwork file. but media monkey shows it is there when i bring up the song, but i dont see it anywhere in the music file. i have even looked under properties of the song, and it shows the year, the album title, genre, shows everything but the artwork file. if i have to go in and manually load each song, then i can do that. but i really dont know how to add the album to the song. sorry to be such a pain, i am just really trying to get this taken care of before the weekend. got lots of people coming over this weekend for the holiday and would like to see this thing up and running. building me a case to put this whole thing in. i appreciate all your help so far, i am just getting a little confused as to how to get the jukebox program to see the artwork.

Ok, you can use the config program to grab the artwork for you from audio DB if it exists or you can save out the images from the mp3 files to the folder using media monkey. I assume you have each album in a folder, if so then you just need to save the image from the file to the folder. There are guides to do this with batch processing depending on what tag software you use.

So in each album folder you have an image? What name have you given to the image? Do you get images shown if you put a tick in display 1st image found?

If the images are not showing up with display first image found then it might be that you have the image files set to hidden like WMP does when it downloads the album covers. Try and unhide a couple of them and see if they then show up.
