E- Touch demo 9.0.24 wont add songs to queue

Hello Guys and Gals

Im a bit of a noob here.But Im in need of a little help. Ive been searching the forum for a couple of hours and don't have any better idea now of where to start than when I started looking.

I am working on setting up a custom jukebox for home use for a couple of months. I  am running 9.0.24 demo.  I have had to reinstall windows 7 32bit  a couple of times to get my used elo touch screen and second monitor working correctly ,So I have been holding off on purchasing the full version till I am sure I wont have to start all over.Everything seems to be good to go on the PC side.


But now E-Touch will not add songs to the queue list. The second screen will have the song added banner come up on the bottom of the now playing screen. But nothing gos into the queue list and there is nothing playing. I have tryed restarting E-Touch and restarting the whole PC. And even uninstalled E-Touch And reinstalled it, Witch seems to work for about 4 songs and then developed to same problem.I have had the unit up and running for about a week and a half,  But yesterday was the first time I had to work on it in about 4 or 5 days. prior to yesterday everything seemed fine 4 or 5 days ago.


Does anyone have any Ideas on what I should look for ? I must say the software is great and I am really impressed with its ease of use . I think I just have this one last bug to take care of and I should be good to go.

Ok firstly make sure that you run as administrator and also not to install in program files directory.

I cannot comment regarding the demo version but add to queue is working on the full version.

You mention near enough every thing apart from what skin you are trying to use?

I cannot say 100% but it is possible there is some time lock or something for the demo.

When you purchase the full version normally you have to get rid of the demo, so do not add too much.

I would recommend the software it is the closest thing that you can get to a pub jukebox at a cheap price. I honestly had a love hate relationship with the software from when I first found it, which I think was 7 or 8, I wanted to love the software, it annoyed me quite a few times, so I gave up. I do not know for why but I took the chance on 9.04 it still had some bugs in but the past updates have ironed out a lot of them and reasonably smooth sailing.

I'm not sure what else to say really, Barry will be on tomorrow at some point, and I am here most of the night so if you have any questions, no need to spend hours searching just ask away.

The key is to right click the exe's and under properties then compatibility set them to always run as admin. If you don't then some odd things can happen.

Thanks for the reply's! I am running the TouchGenPattern_v9beta(1024x768) skin and I have the exe set to run as administrator.

Im wondering if my problem may be tied to the second monitor in some way. Took me a bit of work to get the now playing working on the second screen and  all 3 times the problem developed after i had it working.

Right now I have the (use second monitor) unchecked and it still isnt seeming to want to play nice LOL

Im going to try to retrace the settings I changed to see if I can find the setting thats fighting me

Switch the skin to SxxLxx, save settings, power off the jukebox software and reload it and try it.

Just between me and you I FOOKING HATE TOUCHGENIE.

OK I figured some of it out 

When I changed skins everything started working properly. I went back to the TouchGenPattern and everything worked properly , But when I tried to enable the virtual led sign on the second monitor BAM problem came back.I turned off the LED and everything went back to normal.


Im not sure if one of my settings in the LED menu is wrong and causing it. But as of right now Im not overly worried about the LED sign anyways.

I think for now I will just leave it disabled . Its a cool feature but in looking at it I think I would enjoy it allot better on a separate LED sign instead of on the second monitor. If I  get a chance to play with it a little more and figure out what  setting it was  ,Ill be sure to report back as to what I find.
