mimic the apple Ipad ?

After watching the apple Ipad adverts on tv and numerous moblie phones, would it be feasable to mimic the scrolling of the screen by sliding your finger across the screen and do away with the left and right arrows but still retain the alphabetical slider bar for quick selection ?

I personally dont like the cover flow. You have to flow and flow to get to the album you want. When you see 9+ albums on the selection screen, you get to where your going alot quicker!

the cover flow was only to replace the left-right arrows but still retain the alpabetical slider for speed. but as barry said it is not possible it so will not be an issue. I do not have a problem with the current system but thought a few little enhancements may attract new users

So all you want is left/right or up/down swipes to page the screen? I think i could add that, i can take a look. It will be an option though and not default.

Especially as the YOUNGSTERS are already used to that type of Technology Interface ?
