i just loaded this skin, and none of my albums show up. i am using the 3.0 beta

Have you loaded the correct cover file from the list supplied? You need to load that after loading the skin.

whats the best way to get cover images?

When you load the skin you see there is a list box of CVR file. 6 covers, 12 covers etc. After loading a skin you need to load one of these depending how many covers you want to see. These are unique to the skin itself.
