Skins what version?

Barcrest I have the skins sitting on the mirror site and started to tinker with them to see how they look and to start making some screen shots for others. Is there a specific version they work with? I kept getting an error message trying to run it with the latest private release.

Error Runtime-Error 52
Bad file name or number

I received that error message on the 3 skins listed on the front page of freeboxjukebox.com
Of course I could be an idiot since Ive never messed with anything other than the default skins pre-installed.
