Searching artist

Hey all, I have an issue with searching artists. My music album is setup /music/artist/song and e-touch v9 shows artist when I select a song but when I search, no results are found. Also, I'm pretty sure this is related to the first issue, the alphabet scroll does not work either. It slides but nothing changes.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Does all your music have ID3 tags? ETouch won't read the information out of the directory names/structure.

If not, look into Tag and Rename. (Google it.)

It sounds like you have some mp3's/albums that start with an invalid character in the tag which is messing up the search and also the slider.

Thank you for your help. Figure out what it was. During the database build, "Use album artist tag" was checked and cause the artist list not to build.

I have another problem but will create another thread if I can't figure out VIA google/searching the thread.
