Hi Guys,

I recently brought a cabinet which had a motherboard installed and I ripped that out to upgrade it, but now I cannot get the touch screen working as saying cannot find controller when I run the config. Is the actual controller on the motherboard itself it had Zytronic software installed on the hard drive.

I've never seen a touch controller integrated into a motherboard before...well only on tablets, never a PC.

Did you download and install the driver for the touch interface? We'll need more specific tech details.

I downloaded the drivers for all of the models shown http://www.zytronic.co.uk/support/product-info/touchdrivers when I ran the config it said that no controller was found, the motherboard came with the system it had what looks like a ziff socket on the motherboard, such as seen http://www.zytronic.co.uk/assets/Datasheets/ZXY100_User_Manual.pdf on page 19.

I shall have another look tomorrow and see if I have not plugged something in that needs to be plugged in. I am a total novice at this and I brought well above my head as it was professional converted rather than just simple cable system it is rather complex.

I should have really taken photo's and video first before I done anything I was foolish not to.

I shall update this tomorrow as half 1 in the morning and need some sleep.

Looking at the manual there is definitely a separate controller. It just depends on which model to where it will be located.

I have a monitor cable and then a cable that wants to go into the com port I only have two internal com ports on one PC, and one on another, I have tried both, but still get no controller found. I downloaded all 7 of the downloads that they have for their help and support but every one is the same and saying no controller found.

On the mobo that came with the pc it had what looks like a ziff socket and I think that had a cable in it but that wouldn't have been from the monitor. I found a USB cable from somewhere and I plugged that in as well, but I do not think that it is attached to the monitor I shall have another look now although I have told myself that I am taking a night off from her tonight lol

It will either connect via serial or usb, I have not used those touchscreens but on some older 3M Microtouch screens I have used the controller was serial but also need power. I think that is how the mega touch ones worked, you might need to power the touch screen controller.

I am going to format and go back to Windows 7 on the jukebox and see if that makes any difference instead of using Windows 10 as I don't really need a fancy operating system on it and Windows 7 will probably be more stable.

I had a look at the picture of before I brought it and I have the cables connected that was on there before I done a hammer job on the case. I did find one usb cable for something, but I have plugged that in and didn't seem to do anything, I also found a cable which is the same size as what you used to plug printers into but I haven't got a connector to try that.

I think that the controller drivers only go up to Windows 8 so maybe this might be an issue.

mark with zytronic serial types it best to use xp and load the driver software on first without touch connected restart pc then connect touch screen
and go to setup software
can use windows 7 but so tricky to set up

if you need driver pm me

Remember if you are using XP then it's best not to connect it to the internet as it is no longer supported for updates.

I have just ordered a serial com card as I think that the mobo is totally dead apart from basic operations. My lan card card never worked, my audio never worked so I am assuming that that the com port will not work either. My other computer is down due to over heating so I have installed windows 7 on to this one for the moment as windows xp is doing my head in and I have sata drives that I need. I just hope that this is the last week of messing around as my place is a shit hole at the moment with computer bits everywhere and I want to get back to finishing my skin off.

I have used the above on a lot of my jukes spot on for the price enough power to run a jukebox
with no problems
I pay a average of £30 with memory but the seller who does them not got them listed at the moment

Yeah I am going to be having a dual system for mine though as I would not be able to afford a dedicated arcade system as well and room is tight as I live in a bed/studio flat. I always go overboard at the moment I have an I5 processor waiting for the games and jukebox with about 6 terrabytes of hard drives.

I just want to future proof it as much as possible and once I close the door, I want her to just play nicely.

The cabinet at the moment only has two speakers and an old quize machine amplifier I have got a 7.1 sound card coming so I might end up getting a 7.1 speaker system although my home cinema has 9.1 so the sound card might have been a waste of money really as it would go on HDMI.

I am watching a i3 mobo on ebay as I might build another computer just for TV shows as my movie hard drives are getting a bit full at the moment.

So main problems that I have is space and money.
