Ok so I am bored and taking some time off from trying to get my biatch of a jukebox up and running, so I thought that I would ask a useless question.

When I download music (saves me ripping CDs that I already own of course ;) a lot of times it has Album (Deluxe Edition) however I do not like Edition for some reason and always change mine to Deluxe Version, but which do you prefer and have you got OCD when it comes to tagging media?
I am now retired from the jukebox scene. I still visit from time to time and will help if I can, but apart from that. I am no longer a slave to downloading and tagging.

I use TAG & Rename to tag mine and use what it suggests.

Just had a look at that, was going to give it a try until I saw the purchase button lol

I use http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ myself which is free of charge which probably does the same job but at the moment I am simplifying my music into main genres such as Dance Music, Pop Music, Classical Music etc as I am really sick of all these sub genres that they keep inventing Dance Music > House Music > Trance Music > Dub Step > Whatever can we call something next etc etc. I am too old to keep up with all the latest trends in music genres, and going back old school, where heavy metal was just heavy metal not thrash metal, punk metal.

I have set it up for 29 genres of music although I have missed out some old skool ones such as Heavy Metal as I have that going as Rock Music, and Indie is Alternative Music, Punk is going to Rock as well so I feel a little bit of a traitor for leaving them out so that might appear as Rock N Roll Chuck Berry can't really be in where Iron Maiden is really, god I am talking myself into more work lol

Oh well time for bed I suppose, out of beer and I'm waffling never a good combination gone midnight lol

Regards

Mark

I tag it with Deluxe. I don't see the issue personally.

I have the same problem as you with Genres thoug. WTF would you need 48 genres of rock? So I also simplify much to my sons disgust. I do have a Punk genre though ya heathen  :P

I would say a lot of mine probably doesn't have the right genre or year, I do try and clean them up occasionally but it is so much work.
