Hi,

the current demo is fully featured just that it will enable songs to played when there are no credit letting them go into negative values. There is also a play limit to how long it will run for, 15 minutes. Aside from those limitations everything is there. If you get it all set up with the demo it just a case of installing the full version over the top and activating with your key.

Anything you suggest could be looked it and bugs reported fixed up.

NOTE: The demo is quite a few versions old now. I would suggest playing with the demo and if you see potential get a lifetime key so you can play with the current beta. The lifetime licence only differs from the commercial one in that you can still go into negative credits.

I am sure i did implement a slider for the this screen but I am not sure it is operational. I will take a look and see what is there and if it is was disabled or removed re-instate it in the next beta.

General Discussion / Operating vintage jukeboxes in...
Last post by JukeboxTyler - July 10, 2025, 07:20:30 PM
Greetings and salutations,

A quick intro as this is my first post.

Im in the jukebox bussiness up in Canada. We do retail and we operate some vintage equipment on location here. I have been shopping around for a commercial solution to retrofit some of our equipment. Allot of what is out there hasnt seen an update in many years. Im encouraged to see that this Forum still seems reasonably active.

I have 2 usage scenarios for the equipment that we put on location.

1st is the standard jukebox operators model where its pay to play. E-jukebox seems to have that covered.

The second usage scenario is a remotely managed unit where we install a jukebox at a location that wants it on free play and we can make playlist updates and make other changes without needing to go on site.

Is there a way to demo the commercial version of the software to see if we can make it work out of the box? Also if we wanted certain features or adjustments implemented would you be willing to work with us?

I think the first step would be to demo the commercial version to get a feel for it.

Thanks very much

Is there anyway to replace the up/down buttons with a slider?
Next best thing - auto-repeat: keep paging up/down if the
arrow buttons remain pressed for half-second or so.

The closest thing that could happen is the fanart image for that particular artist should come up in the background.  You will need to create folders of band names in the Fanart folder. You can have multiple images for every artist - but those will display randomly  (im pretty sure)

Hopefully this helps

Newbee here... So new in fact I haven't loaded the S/W yet because
Norton keeps quarantining it. Keeps saying there is a Trojan in it.

But besides that... I've been looking at various demos on YouTube,
and it looks like there is (on some skins) a generic artwork for
the top folder the music is in - actually several: like 80's Pop,
80's Alternative, etc. They appear on the "home" screen, and when
selecting that, apparently it takes you to the select track screen
where the songs are listed. The same artwork (image) looks like
it's on that screen too. When the user picked a track, a "You have
selected" screen/page  pops up - it too shows the same artwork that was
on the home screen (say, 80's Pop) as well as the select track
screen/page (say, 80's Pop). Then again when you select any song
from the track list (say, 80's Pop). I would think that at least
on the "You have Selected" screen/page, you would see the artwork
that was embedded in the MP3 file - specific and unique to the
track/song you picked.

I've seen various demo videos that showed different skins, and they
all appear to show the same thing. Is there a way to have the
actual embedded art image of the selected track/song displayed?

Just curious at this stage until I can get the actual S/W loaded
and running. Yes, I know I can shut off Norton, but don't want to
take any unnecessary risks... Tkx to all...

E-Touch User Guides and FAQ / e-touch activation and marriag...
Last post by fb28 - June 09, 2025, 02:30:18 AM
A few questions from a newbie - please bear with me...

First, is an internet connection required to register e-touch,
or can it be done off-line?

I think that I read that the commercial (coin-op) version was
locked into the host, and if there was either a failure, upgrade
or other reason to relocate the s/w, that I would need the new
machines' ID (I guess public key) and they would issue a new
registration number/key for the new machine. Have I got that correct?
IOW, if I installed e-touch on a "new" "coin-op" machine, and used
the same registration key - it wouldn't run? Would it default to demo?

Same question if I had another coin-op copy on a development machine,
and it failed - if I relocated/re-installed that e-touch s/w on a new
machine would that require another/new license file?

Does the registration process (as far as relocating/restoring the
S/W on another machine) work the same for the standard vs coin-op?
IOW, need new licenses - each "married" the hardware by some public
key? Same procedure for either version: send email with ID numbers
that came with that copy's download, and I would get a unique
license file for that copy?

Does the standard version have some time-limited coin-op functionality
in order to test/emulate an operational/revenue system? IOW, would
I need two commercial licenses to have a development system identical
(except for the hardware environment) for full emulation?

"Life member" My understanding is that for "lifetime" credit,
it's the cost of the option (i.e. full, commercial) x 2 - so, $70
for the full, if you get the commercial version - will you get
lifetime support, or is it $500 (x2) for lifetime commercial?

What is "lifetime support". While the "future" is a long ways
away, what if the company decides to discontinue the product,
or maybe the owner decides to retire - any number of things...
Is there a plan for a backup to issue new/replacement licenses?
Especially for the commercial (coin-op) version, which by then
will still be relied upon as a revenue source and not "go dark".

e-touch seems to be one of the best-rated s/w solutions for
a private-owned box, but it's not just the investment of the
extra $$ for the commercial version - one needs to consider
the long-term availability (and oh yes, most likely replacing
failed hardware from time to time).
