Hi,
I have just installed ETouch and am so far very impressed.  I want to make sure it does what I want (and I think it will and much more) before I make my payment.  I have a couple of questions:

1) I copied some MP3 files form my phone but there are no pictures or album covers.  How do I get these?
2) Going forward I think I would be best starting from scratch importing my CD collection into ETouch so was wondering how I would go about doing this and in doing so, would the Album covers then be automatically added?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Damo,

Welcome to the forum. You would need to tag your music files using an MP3 tagger.

This would give you the genres, album art etc.

If you need any further help, please feel free to ask.

Mark
I am now retired from the jukebox scene. I still visit from time to time and will help if I can, but apart from that. I am no longer a slave to downloading and tagging.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for coming back to me.
I have downloaded Mp3Tag and run it against my MP3's and I can see all the album covers but am not seeing them in ETouch?

In terms of importing CD's do I need another tool to convert those to MP3 and then tag them with the above?

I would also like to try different skins but understand I will need to buy the product first, is that correct?

Many thanks

Ok trying to answer your questions as much as I can

1) Have you installed outside of c:\Program Files or did you install in that directory
2) Did you install and run everything as administrator?
3) The album cover should be imbeded into the tagging, but you also need it in your directory structure as well.

Regards

Mark

Thanks Mark,
I think I have sorted it so thanks for your help.
The answer to points 1 & 2 is Yes.
Your point 3 pointed me in the right direction.  There is an option to export cover so I saved it as Cover.jpg and it is now showing so thanks so much.

For importing music from CD, do I need to use a 3rd party tool or is there something in ETouch to do so?

Glad your getting a bit closer,

I do not think that this has a cd ripper as part of the program, so you would have to use a CD ripper. However, plenty of torrents around where you can download MP3's from but then you would need to tag them.

Ripping from CD means that you have a standard across the board.

I use this to rip my CD's

https://www.audiograbber.org/

I then use Tag & Rename to tag them and download the artwork.
