MP3 Gain issues
« on: October 29, 2020, 10:57:32 AM »
Hi All

Has anyone had any issues with MP3gain corrupting files? I've found loads of mp3's where funny characters have been insterted into file names and song info.

Maybe I've tried analysing too many songs at once??

I have not used MP3 Gain in a year or more now, I never had any issues with the program at all.

I just had a look at the website http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/faq.php it is saying something about tagging.

I would certainly not use it for tagging, I would advise turning that option off.

Hopefully someone else can give you an answer as well.

Regards

Mark

I don't think I did anything regarding tagging, I just found the odd MP3 here and there with strange symbols inserted into the tags, they looked like Chinese symbols, which led me to think that it had corrupted them
